Job Description
Seeking a knowledgeable, reliable personal cook to manage grocery shopping and meal preparation in accordance with a medically prescribed, anti-inflammatory and heart-healthy diet.
This is not a fine-dining or restaurant chef position. We are looking for someone with strong practical food knowledge, confidence handling a wide variety of fresh ingredients, and experience preparing meals for dietary or medical needs in a private home setting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Grocery shopping with attention to ingredient quality and labels
• Identifying, selecting, and properly handling a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, meat, fish, and poultry
• Preparing fresh, flavorful meals that vary week-to-week and across the month
• Following medical dietary guidelines while keeping meals enjoyable and not repetitive
• Proper food storage, preparation, and overall kitchen cleanliness

Dietary Requirements (must be comfortable with):
• Gluten-free
• Dairy-free
• Grain-free
• No seed oils
• No added sugar
• No sugar alcohols
• Anti-inflammatory cooking principles
• Heart-healthy and cholesterol-conscious

Kitchen Cleanup (Required):
• Wash and put away all dishes, cookware, and utensils
• Clean food-prep surfaces and counters
• Vacuum and mop kitchen floors as needed
• Clean up all significant spills or messes
• This role includes full post-cooking cleanup (no separate cleaning staff follows)

Qualifications & Experience:
• Strong familiarity with a broad range of whole foods
• Experience cooking for medical, dietary, or anti-inflammatory needs
• Understanding of ingredient restrictions and appropriate substitutions
• Comfortable planning meals, shopping independently, and working with minimal supervision
• Culinary training is welcome but not required — practical experience matters most
