Job Description

Job Summary:

We are hiring an experienced Hospital Construction Worker. This position is for a working trades person who can step onto an active hospital jobsite and perform without supervision. The work is hands-on, detail-driven, and performed in occupied healthcare spaces where cleanliness, accuracy, and professionalism matter. You must be comfortable working independently, following hospital infection control procedures, and completing work cleanly and correctly the first time.

Work locations include Napa, Alameda, Oakland, San Mateo, Burlingame, and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

Drywall repair, patching, finishing, and painting in patient rooms and hospital spaces
Identify and repair wall damage, water intrusion, and other conditions affecting infection control
Install and replace ceiling tiles, transition strips, and flooring (carpet tile experience required)
Floor demo and prep, including glue removal and surface preparation
Framing, minor carpentry, and general construction tasks
Protect hospital equipment, furnishings, and surrounding areas at all times
Remove, store, and reinstall furniture and equipment, returning rooms exactly as found
Take before-and-after photos to document work
Follow all hospital safety and infection control requirements without exception
Coordinate work with hospital staff in active, occupied areas

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of hands-on construction experience (required)
Valid driver’s license
Own reliable vehicle
Own professional-grade construction tools
Willing and able to work nights, weekends, and overtime
Proven experience in drywall, painting, flooring, and basic carpentry
Experience working in clean, occupied environments (healthcare, labs, facilities, or similar)
Ability to work independently, stay organized, and maintain a clean jobsite
Physically capable of lifting, moving, and reinstalling furniture and equipment

Preferred Experience:

Hospital or medical facility construction or maintenance
Strong drywall finishing and painting background
Familiarity with construction work in sensitive or regulated environments
