Job Description
Restaurant Manager – Full Time
The Sausage Factory is a long-standing Italian American restaurant in the heart of the Castro, proudly serving San Francisco since 1968. With the Castro Theatre reopening soon, the neighborhood is gaining renewed energy, and we’re looking for a Restaurant Manager to help lead day-to-day operations and play a meaningful role in the continued growth of the business.
This is a hands-on, all-encompassing management role for someone who wants more than just running shifts. We’re looking for an organized, motivated leader who enjoys building systems, improving operations, and helping a well-established restaurant continue to evolve. This position offers real opportunity to make an impact and grow alongside the business.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations
Leading and supporting FOH and BOH teams during service
Establishing and maintaining operational systems and procedures
Ordering and working with vendors
Organizing invoices and bills for accounting
Updating menus and online platforms as needed
Creating and implementing training materials for staff
Supporting onboarding and ongoing staff development
Assisting with basic social media or promotional updates when needed
Working closely with ownership on improvements, planning, and growth
We’re looking for someone who:
Has restaurant management experience in a fast-paced environment
Is highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
Enjoys building structure and improving how things run
Communicates clearly and leads with respect
Thrives in a hands-on role and leads by example
Is interested in long-term growth and taking ownership of their work
This role is ideal for someone who aspires to run or own a restaurant one day and wants real exposure to operations, systems, and decision-making—not just managing shifts.
Details:
Full-time
Approximately 50 hours per week (5–6 days)
Nights and weekends required
Competitive salary based on experience, with room to grow
If you’re looking for a role where your ideas, organization, and leadership can truly shape a business, we’d love to hear from you. Please reply with your resume and a brief introduction.
