Salary: $19 per hour + Tips
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Job Summary
Kappo is currently recruiting an experienced fine-dining Captain. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of full-service restaurant operations, is knowledgeable about wine and food pairings, and maintains a friendly and calm demeanor at all times.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Knowledge of food and beverage menu, preparation, and food safety.
· Ability to confidently make recommendations and upsell offerings.
· Strong understanding of steps of service in fine dining.
The duties of this position may change from time to time. Omakase Restaurant Group reserves the right to add or delete duties and responsibilities at the discretion of Omakase Restaurant Group or its managers. Minimum Requirements:
· Minimum of 2 years of fine dining experience
· Passion and desire to learn
· Knowledge of food safety principles and procedures
· Well-groomed and follow company uniform and appearance standards
· A flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
· Exceptional customer service skills.
Prerequisites for Employment:
Valid California ServSafe Food Handler Certification
Valid Responsible Beverage Service Certification

While performing the duties of this job, the Captain is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk or hear. Frequently it is required to use hands and arms to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The Captain is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The Captain must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
