Hiring: Tree Worker / Arborist Apprentice $24–$32/hr (4 days/week)

LongView Tree Care is a very small, locally owned tree care company in Sonoma County. Right now, it’s just me—the owner—and I’m looking to hire one reliable, motivated person to work directly alongside me as my sole crew member.

We focus on high-quality tree pruning, not production removals. This is skilled, physical work, and I’m looking for someone who wants to learn the arborist trade properly and take pride in doing things well.

This is a good fit if you:

-Are in good physical condition and enjoy demanding outdoor work

-Are dependable, show up on time, and communicate clearly

-Want to learn all aspects of tree care, including climbing

-Prefer a small crew where your effort and attitude really matter

Experience:

-Tree work and/or landscaping experience is a big plus

-No formal arborist experience required if you’re eager to learn and work hard

What You’ll Do:

-Groundwork: hauling brush and clean up are a big part of the job, running ropes, site organization etc.

-Assist with pruning and tree care operations

-Learn pruning techniques, chainsaw and tool safety, rigging basics, and climbing over time

-Help maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, professional job site

Details:

-Schedule: Full-time, 4 days/week (~32 hours)

-Pay: $24–$32/hour, depending on experience, capability, and reliability

-Location: Sonoma County

-Start: ASAP

This is a very small company. You’ll be my only employee, working directly with me every day. That means higher expectations, more responsibility, and faster learning.
