Warehouse Receiver / Order Selector

Long established successful East Bay importer/distributor is looking for Warehouse Order Selector to pick and pack orders for customers. This is a Monday through Friday full-time, day shift position. Minimum Qualification Requirement:
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED.
• Two (2) years of safe operation of lift trucks and pallet jacks.
• One (1) year experience working with food products or the ability to quickly learn requirements of working with food products.
• One (1) year experience working with barcode scanners.
• Ability to read shipping orders to review products being selected.
• Capable of visually inspecting incoming goods for conditions that indicate possible food contamination or adulteration.
• Must be able to frequently lift 55 pounds.
• Flexible and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through, and have good penmanship.
• Dependable and resourceful.
• Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Accomplish and maintain all duties and responsibilities is a safe manner.
• Inspect condition and receive incoming goods.
• Perform a combination of tasks to prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts through all areas of the warehouse to collect product from shelves and other storage areas.
• Build a stable pallet board containing a variety of shapes and sizes.
• Label each customer order and review order for completion
• Read shipping orders to review products being selected and evaluate the way to build the pallet to coordinate with delivery schedule of driver.
