MUST BE MEDICAID ASSESSMENT CERTIFIED
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diverse clinical settings, including acute care, ICU, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and outpatient services. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, and eClinicalWorks is essential. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, performing comprehensive assessments, administering medications and injections, managing IV infusions, and ensuring adherence to HIPAA and infection control standards. Experience with specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy, ostomy care, dermal fillers, and esthetic laser treatments is a plus. Candidates with background in trauma medicine, critical care transport, neonatal ventilator management, or working within teaching hospitals are encouraged to apply.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations
Administer medications via various routes including injections and IV infusions while adhering to aseptic techniques
Manage airway systems and ventilators for critical care patients
Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization (urinary and vascular), tube feeding management, gastric lavage, spinal taps, and ostomy care
Document all patient interactions accurately within EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Coordinate discharge planning and case management for post-acute care patients
Provide health coaching and education tailored to patient needs across diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, and patients with developmental disabilities or dementia
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings such as hospitals (Level I & II Trauma Centers), outpatient clinics, assisted living facilities, hospice & palliative care units, or home & community care environments
Participate in infection control practices and maintain sterile processing protocols
Assist in diagnostic evaluations utilizing laboratory tests or medical imaging like sonography or mammography when applicable
Support emergency response efforts including triage during urgent or trauma situations
Requirements
Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
Proven experience in multiple clinical environments such as ICU (Level I & II Trauma Center experience), emergency room (ER), medical-surgical units, outpatient clinics, or long-term care settings like nursing homes or assisted living facilities
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, pharmacology related to medication administration and IV therapy
Ability to perform complex procedures such as suturing, catheterization (including Foley catheters), phlebotomy/venipuncture, tube feeding management, and sterile techniques
Experience working with vulnerable populations including children (pediatric/neonatal intensive care), seniors (geriatrics/memory/dementia care), or individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges
Critical care experience preferred; familiarity with trauma medicine or post-surgical recovery is advantageous
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred for acute care roles
Knowledge of infection control protocols and compliance with HIPAA standards necessary for patient privacy protection
