IHSS caregiver needed. Wed-Fri, 4-5 hours each day.

My wife and I live with and take care of our 87yo mother with Alzheimer's. We live in Mid-Valley, Carmel (across from Safeway)

Our mother has no share of cost IHSS hours. We are looking for an IHSS caregiver for 3 days a week. Wed-Fri, 8am-1pm or 9am-1am. She is mobile but needs assistance in these areas:

- Making her breakfast, snacks and lunch
- Administering medication
- Doing meal preps for her evening meals.
- Help changing and dressing
- Needs assistance in showering
- Needs direction to brush her teeth.
- Laundry
- Basic home chores such as making her bed, cleaning bathroom, vacuuming.

This is a busy house. We both work from home and have a 6yo daughter. 2 dogs and 2 cats so the caregiver must be comfortable around animals and no allergies please.

!! This position does ask the caregiver to provide overnight care. You will get extra compensation. There will be a couple times a year, up to 2 weeks each time that we’ll need someone for over nights. There also might be some weekends needed also if we travel.

We have a 2nd benefit through 24Hour Homecare. That will require onboarding with that group (and doesn’t require any out of pocket money) This is a requirement so that it’ll help pay for overnight stays.
