Period Restoration, Inc. specializes in the renovation and restoration of historic and period homes from all eras. As a general contractor, we manage highly collaborative projects, working with some of the finest subcontractors in the Bay Area, while executing our own carpentry and woodworking.

We are primarily seeking a journeyman carpenter, though we may also consider a promising apprentice with substantial experience.

Journeyman Qualifications:
Applicants should submit a detailed resume demonstrating strong experience in the following:
*Minimum 7 years of carpentry experience
*Strong framing and structural carpentry skills (a plus)
*Ability to read and interpret plans and shop drawings
*Capability to direct apprentices on job-site tasks
*Cabinetry and fine woodworking experience (a plus)
*General knowledge of other construction trades
*Familiarity with a wide range of woods and finishes
*Everyone brings a different mix of experience. We’re willing to train in areas where skills may be less developed. If you have curiosity, commitment, and a desire to do excellent work, we want to hear from you.

Requirements:
*Personal tools sufficient to meet company tool list
*Valid driver’s license and a truck
*Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs for 50 feet
