Part-Time Certified Welder
Location: Orlando, FL Area
Job Type: Part-Time 1 week per month in Sanford, Fl
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience ($28–$38/hour DOE)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Certified Welder to join our team on a part-time basis. This position involves performing high-quality welds on structural steel, fabrication projects, repairs, and custom metalwork in a shop environment (with occasional field work). Ideal for an experienced welder looking for flexible scheduling while maintaining top-tier craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform various welding processes including MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW), and/or Flux-Cored as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
• Prepare materials, fit-up components, and execute welds in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead)
• Produce welds that meet or exceed AWS D1.1 structural standards and project specifications
• Conduct visual inspections and basic quality checks on completed welds
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to all OSHA and company safety protocols
• Use hand tools, grinders, and cutting equipment safely and efficiently

Requirements
• Current AWS Certified Welder (CW) certification (required) — must be active and verifiable
• Proven experience with structural or fabrication welding (minimum 2+ years preferred)
• Ability to pass additional in-house weld tests if required for specific projects
• Strong knowledge of welding symbols, blueprints, and metal properties
• Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible part-time hours
• Commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent; welding vocational training a plus
• Must provide own basic PPE (additional company-supplied equipment available)
