Non CDL Box Truck Driver- Immediate Need

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Local Box Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely delivering/picking up goods to/from customers within the local area, ensuring timely and accurate service. This role requires excellent driving skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving items. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Safely operate a box truck for local deliveries/pick ups within local area (on time)
Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and lift gate
Must be able to palletize freight that could require stacking, banding, or shrink wrap
Must be able to unpack freight that could require debris disposal
Ensure accurate loading/unloading of goods and verify via photos before departure
Deliver/pick up products to/from customers promptly while maintaining professional customer service standards
Navigate driving efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and company policies
Assist with warehouse tasks
Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues, add oil/coolant as needed
Maintain delivery/pickup documentation and obtain customer signatures upon service
Follow safety protocols at all times during loading, unloading, and driving activities

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
DOT Physical or ability to get one
Proven experience as a delivery driver, or commercial driver with driving expertise
Record daily trip sheet and daily/weekly timecard
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks such as moving items and loading/unloading cargo
Warehouse experience is helpful, including use of forklifts and pallet jacks and bander
Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude
Excellent navigation skills for planning a daily route and timely deliveries/pick ups
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical stamina to handle long periods of driving and manual handling tasks
