Job Description

We are looking for a mature and experienced full-time and take charge administrator for a local Mid-Wilshire real estate and tax practice. The right candidate possesses the following characteristics:

1. self-starter by nature;

2. confident in approach and does not fear failure;

4. works well with other people, even nutty ones;

5. possesses outstanding oral and written communication skills;

6. enjoys developing new skills and improving upon existing skills and handling multiple tasks throughout the work day; and

7. good judgment and commitment to excellence.

The right candidate brings a polished appearance and professional demeanor to the office and is someone who has worked in similar service businesses and is familiar with:

1. individual and business filing requirements and forms,

2. payroll tax forms,

3. Forms 1099 for multiple types of payments to 3rd parties

4. business licenses and personal property tax affidavits,

5. Quickbooks processing and operations

6. Extension requests and estimated tax payment requirements

7. Income tax returns and knows the difference between C and S corporations

Familiarity with computer systems and management of real estate investments and development are welcome additions to the business. Boredom is not an occupational hazard of our businesses.

We anticipate that the candidate has adequate familiarity with typical Microsoft suite of software applications.

General daily office duties:

Reception, setting appointments, assembling tax returns for submission to clients, negotiating with vendors, purchasing supplies, originating letters to clients and taxing authorities, and mailing and faxing documents and forms to clients and tax agencies. Other tasks will be assigned as the candidate develops the requisite skills, such as communicating with taxing authorities to obtain pertinent information and resolving client issues.

The firm will also pay for the candidate to become a notary and will incur costs to maintain this designation.

This is a year-round real estate and tax practice, and overtime and weekends during tax season, March and April and September and October are often a part of the work conditions. Overtime is paid in addition to base salary. Competitive benefits, including health insurance coverage, are also provided.
