Assistant Manager Needed –Restaurant/Bar Experience Required (Birdies)

Birdies Social Club is a new restaurant, bar, and indoor golf experience located across from Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento. We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to help lead day-to-day operations, support our team during high-volume service, and work closely with ownership to continue building something special.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with hospitality experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment, isn’t afraid to jump in during service, and can help close the building strong on nights and weekends.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
– Supporting daily FOH operations during service
– Acting as Manager-on-Duty during evenings and weekends
– Helping lead, coach, and support FOH staff (hosts, servers, bartenders, barbacks)
– Assisting with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and end-of-night procedures
– Maintaining & helping optimize service standards, guest experience, and floor flow during high volume
– Troubleshooting issues in real time with staff and guests
– Working closely with owners on operations, team performance, and improvements
– Assisting with training, onboarding, and shift coverage as needed

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
– 2+ years of management or lead experience in restaurants, bars, or hospitality
– Strong floor presence and ability to lead by example
– Calm, confident decision-making during busy service
– Excellent communication and people skills
– Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
– Comfortable working nights, weekends, and closing shifts
– Able to be on your feet and active throughout shifts

BONUS (BUT NOT REQUIRED):
– Experience creating and managing FOH schedules
– Familiarity with labor management and shift optimization
– Hands-on experience working with Toast POS
