About Us
We are a San Diego–based ornamental and structural steel fabrication company specializing in high-quality custom metalwork and structural steel projects. Our work includes commercial, residential, and architectural steel, with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, accuracy, and reliability.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Detailer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who understands steel fabrication from concept through installation and can accurately estimate projects while producing clear, shop-ready drawings.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating
• Review architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform accurate material takeoffs and labor estimates
• Prepare detailed and competitive bids and proposals
• Coordinate with project managers, fabricators, and vendors
• Assist with value engineering and scope clarification

Detailing
• Produce shop drawings using AutoCAD or similar software
• Generate fabrication and erection drawings
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and contractors
• Revise drawings based on RFIs and field conditions
• Ensure drawings align with fabrication and installation methods

Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in steel estimating and/or detailing
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Tekla experience a plus)
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection
• Ability to read architectural and structural drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Preferred Experience
• Ornamental metals (stairs, railings, gates, balconies)
• Structural steel estimating and detailing
• Familiarity with Southern California construction practices
