Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned, hospitality-driven Event Captain to lead service for luxury weddings and high-profile corporate events. Our ideal candidate has a deep passion for elevated hospitality and fine dining service, bringing professionalism, composure, and strong leadership to every event. They excel in fast-paced, on-call environments and are equally effective working independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
The Event Captain serves as the on-site leader and ambassador of our brand, ensuring flawless execution from setup through breakdown while delivering an exceptional guest and client experience. This role requires impeccable organization, keen attention to detail, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to event management.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Oversee all aspects of event setup, service execution, and breakdown to ensure seamless, high-quality delivery
• Lead, manage, and supervise servers, bartenders, chefs, and support staff on site
• Provide onsite training to team members based on position to achieve proficiency in service standards for equipment use, setup, steps of service and breakdown
• Maintain a calm, respectful, and professional demeanor under pressure at all times
• Ensure all equipment, rentals, linens, glassware, bar items, and supplies are present, organized, and properly staged
• Uphold service standards consistent with company expectations inline with luxury weddings and high-end corporate events
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, planners, venue staff, and company management throughout the event
• Serve as the primary point of contact on site for service-related needs and troubleshooting
• Anticipate potential issues and resolve challenges efficiently and discreetly
• Complete detailed post-event reports and provide constructive staff feedback

Required Qualifications
• Minimum 2–3 years of catering leadership experience (luxury weddings, corporate events, hotels, or fine dining preferred)
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
• Strong verbal communication skills with staff, clients, and external partners
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Professional, polished, and welcoming appearance
• Positive, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to remain composed, adaptable, and client-focused in dynamic situations
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs, work in outdoor environments in all weather conditions and on your feet walking for 8 plus hours
