Job Description

Lucky Chances Casino has an opening for Facility Manager. We are looking for individuals who can lead a team and take charge with reliability and flexibility. We hope you are our future employee.

The Facility Manager will provide general management, through subordinates, for providing maintenance functions for the facility, including building utility systems, equipment maintenance, and building and grounds maintenance. Ensures that departmental objectives are met including project cost, quality and safety factors. Supervises maintenance, housekeeping, warehouse and contract staff. Develops and direct engineering/technical plans and specifications. Anticipates problems and makes recommendations to management to prevent or correct them.

Essential Duties:
- Ensure department is properly staffed and prepares/monitors work schedules.
- Ensure departmental staff compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Make recommendations for departmental staff hiring, promotions and terminations.
- Oversee departmental staff performance (training, coaching, counseling, promotions and disciplinary actions), includes periodic performance reviews.
- Assign staff to various projects, follow-up and assist as needed.
- Oversee the procurement and maintenance of departmental supplies.
- Direct and supervise the overall maintenance of buildings and grounds.
- Ensure compliance with safety and health codes and regulations.
- Determine which projects are done in-house or contracted-out. Oversee bid process.
- Communicate with inter-departmental heads and lead persons and resolve facility-related issues.
- Other duties as assigned.

Relationships:
Internal: Reports to CEO. Partners with Human Resources and Security Manager to ensure health and safety compliance. Coordinates with Department Managers to ensure smooth operations of facilities activities, with minimal impact to overall business operations. Works with accounting to ensure budgets are met, and purchasing procedures are followed.
External: Vendors, contractors, and government or agency inspectors, architects and engineers.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of seven (7) years experience in a supervisory capacity in any one or combination of the following trades: General construction, HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical. Trade certification preferred.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Must have extensive knowledge of building construction techniques, including codes, materials and equipment usage and maintenance.
- Must be able to develop and utilize computer and data technologies in planning, specifying, logging of equipment inventories, budgeting and in intra/inter departmental communications.
- Ability to maintain communication with all departments, Team Members and guests to ensure positive experiences.
- Management and interpersonal skills, including employee conflict management skills.
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
- Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Physical Requirements:
- Requires the ability to speak, see and hear. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., walk, stand, sit, climb ladders, crawl in tight or cramped spaces, grasp, push, pull, bend, kneel, and twist. Must have good to excellent hearing abilities in order to determine proper operation of machinery, etc. and have good to excellent vision, including color perception for use in detailing activities, such as painting and machinery operations

Pay rate : DOE
