Job Description

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist Operator Level III for a reputable aerospace manufacturing company located in Tempe, AZ. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience in CNC machining, including setup, operation, and inspection using a variety of tools and machines (3 & 5-axis mills, live-tooling lathes, etc.). This is a hands-on role for a seasoned machinist who can work independently and mentor others.

*Pay: $28/hour + 5% shift differential
*Shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:30 PM–1:00 AM
*Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Responsibilities:
•Perform complex setups and operate multiple CNC machines (mills and lathes).
•Read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T.
•Machine aerospace-grade materials using a variety of platforms including 3-axis, 5-axis, live-tooling, and sub-spindle equipment.
•Utilize manual and automated inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and microscopes.
•Monitor and document quality using in-process inspection records.
•Log setup, run times, and part quantities into internal systems (Machine Metrics and job tracking software).
•Perform preventative maintenance tasks via MaintainX.
•Identify tooling needs and provide fixture specifications.
•Collaborate with programmers to improve machining efficiency.
•Mentor and assist junior machinists when needed.
•Maintain a clean and organized work environment according to 5S and safety standards.

Requirements:
•Minimum 7 years of precision machining experience.
•At least 5 years of experience setting up and running CNC equipment.
•Strong working knowledge of G & M codes, tool geometry, and wear offsets.
•Experience with Fanuc controls.
•Experience with Doosan, HAAS, and Brother machine tools preferred.
•Proficient in machine shop mathematics and GD&T.
•Must have own tools required to perform the job.
•Exposure to CAD/CAM is a plus.
•High School Diploma or GED required.
•Trade school, vocational training, or formal apprenticeship preferred.
