Personal Care Assistant

In-home care for adult male
Far East side of Tucson (Broadway and Houghton)
Care needed is 2 days/week, 4-hour shifts, early mornings 5am to 9am, evenings 6pm to 10pm

Must have valid fingerprint clearance card, no drug or alcohol use, valid CNA or Direct Caregiver Certification. Must be willing to be flexible and non-judgmental. Must have own reliable transportation (NOT dependent upon mass transit systems). Must be able to pass drug test upon request. Must be able to multitask and take direction.
Must have no allergies to dogs or cats. Must be willing to work around a Weimaraner who is anxiety-prone.
Needs to have a willingness to interact with our larger community of: live-in personal care assistant, another individual with a disability and her friend/caregiver along with other caregivers who assist the other individual with a disability.

Care Requirement Needs:
- Activities of Daily Living
- Dressing
- Bathing
- Meal Preparation
- Laundry
- Assistance with once-a-week Ozempic shot (if needed)

Must provide 3 professional references. First interview will be virtual. Proceeding interviews, if requirements are met, will be in-person.

Compensation currently is covered under long-term care policy through John Hancock. Must be willing to submit all required documentation to the long-term care insurance company. Must also realize that it takes about 15 business days for long-term care company to pay. It will be a direct assignment from the long-term care company to the caregiver with hours approved weekly.
