About The Farm Shop Located in the heart of Ferndale, we are looking for a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic. We don't just swap parts; we weld, we fabricate, and we solve problems.

The Role You won't be bored here. One day you might be rebuilding a diesel engine on a semi-truck, and the next you’re welding a broken linkage on a tractor. We need a "Jack of All Trades" with a master’s touch in diesel.

Key Responsibilities

Heavy Duty Repair: Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and drivetrains on heavy trucks, trailers, and agricultural equipment.

Ag Equipment: Service tractors, harvesters, and implements (hydraulics, PTOs, electrical).

Fabrication: Utilize MIG/TIG/Stick welding and torch cutting to fabricate parts or repair structural damage on farm implements and trailers.

Maintenance: Perform DOT inspections and routine preventative maintenance to keep our customers compliant and safe.

Diagnostics: Use both computer diagnostics and hands on diagnostics to find the root cause of issues.

What We Need From You

Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Ag Technician. (Experience with logging trucks or yellow iron is a plus).

Fabrication Skills: Must be comfortable with a welder and a torch. In the farm world, sometimes you have to build the fix.

Versatility: Ability to switch between automotive repair, heavy-duty trucks, and agricultural machinery.

Attitude: Safety-oriented, reliable, and ready to fill the shoes of senior mechanics who took pride in their work.

Experience with repairs on trucks, trailers, diesel engines, tractors, welding, fabricating, safety oriented.
