Paralegal/Case Manager Criminal Law Firm

DCD LAW, Inc. is a fast-growing criminal defense law firm with our main office in the City Van Nuys, directly across from the Van Nuys Courthouse.

Our primary focus is criminal defense—representing individuals across Los Angeles County and greater Southern California, in serious felony and misdemeanor matters. We also handle a select number of civil restraining order cases and will be introducing a plaintiff-side personal injury practice this year as part of our expansion.

Our Attorneys are incredible, frequently in court advocating for our clients, conducting preliminary hearings, preparing mitigation presentations, negotiating outcomes, strategizing with families, and fighting for our clients in jury trials.

Because of this, our Paralegals and Case Managers play a central role in client communication, intake, case management, drafting, and trial preparation. This is an environment where responsibility is real, skills develop quickly, and hard work has impact.

We are looking for highly capable Paralegals/Case Managers who are fluent in Spanish. Our diverse client base means you will be our voice and ear in both English and Spanish.

Criminal defense experience is strongly preferred, but not required; if you have strong experience in another area of law and a serious work ethic, we will train you.

Strong customer service skills are non-negotiable—you will be the first point of contact with prospective clients, helping guide consultations and build relationships.

Core responsibilities include:

Managing client communications and consultations
Drafting memos, discovery requests, and supporting mitigation work
Updating clients on case progress and deadlines
Managing the attorney’s calendar, meetings, and court appearances
Preparing for preliminary hearings and trial (drafting, motion work, data entry, coordination)
Writing correspondence, motions, and communicating with law enforcement and agencies
