🎸 GUITAR / BASS TEACHERS WANTED – ARTIST-RUN MUSIC SCHOOL

Hey! We are Mr. Max Music, an independent music school in Redondo Beach looking for Guitar and Bass Teachers to join our team.

We are a relationship-driven school built around:

Our students are all ages and levels and all of our teachers are working musicians who actively perform!

At Mr. Max Music we care just as much about how you teach as what you teach.

WHO THIS IS FOR
You might be a great fit if:
* You’re a working musician or serious player who enjoys teaching
* You show up on time, prepared, and emotionally present
* You can connect with people of all ages and skill levels
* You value long-term students, not just filling hours

Styles we love (but aren’t limited to):
Rock, indie, punk, alternative, pop, blues, jazz.
Music theory, songwriting, beginner piano or voice is a plus.

WHO THIS IS NOT FOR
Probably not a fit if:
* You cancel often or treat teaching like an afterthought
* You don’t respond to texts in a timely manner (important for scheduling)
* You can play well, but are unable to convey concepts in a way that students can grasp

THE GIG
* Lessons are in-person in Redondo Beach, though sometimes students prefer Zoom
* Pay is $35/hr to start
* Flexible scheduling

We already have an amazing team of teachers that have created a fun, positive community — we’re looking to build more of that energy!
