Telecommunication Installer - 5 YR Experience

K S Telecom Inc. specializes in providing and installing low voltage cabling and components. We are currently looking to fill two full-time Telecommunication Installer positions. The work is in the Greater Sacramento Area. You must be willing to travel and work out of town. Some of our upcoming jobs are Prevailing Wage. Prevailing wage hourly rates are from about $53/hr to $84/hr depending upon the County and date of the bid advertisement. Private jobs pay less and range from $20 to $35 per hour. After a probationary period, we offer health and dental insurance, paid holidays, vacation, and a 401K plan with company matching.

To apply for the Journeyman position we require that you MUST have a minimum of 5 years of consistent commercial telecom work, experience with horizontal cabling and pathways, fiber optic cabling, termination, patch panels, testing, the ability to comprehend/ read/ adjust plans as needed, have reliable transportation, already possess the required tools, have strong leadership and team working abilities. You must have a high school diploma. This specific post requires that you drive a company vehicle. For our insurance to cover you as a driver, you must be aged 22 or older and you must have a good driving record. You must also pass a drug test. In addition, because we work in schools, you must be able to clear a background check.

Preference will be given to anyone who has graduated from an Accredited Apprenticeship Program in the State of California or in a Federal program. Computer programming and configuration skills are greatly encouraged, but not necessary.

We are looking for honest, eager, hardworking people that are willing to work a variety of hours. This particular position is day shift. Some other projects are off shift. Our schoolwork often requires us to start once the kids are out of class. Our normal coverage area is Northern California and Reno/Tahoe in Nevada.
