Job Description

We are looking for a Press Brake Operator. This is a part-time position ideal for someone looking for side work or to supplement their income. Die Cleaning Equipment is a custom fabricator and manufacturer of automated machines used for "cleaning" dies used in the aluminum extrusion industry. We fabricate all our own tanks.

We are looking for a highly skilled professional who can operate at an expert level and program complex bends.

Key Responsibilities
Press Brake Operation & Programming
· Operate an Accurpress with Vision Control software.
· Independently set up tooling, select punches/dies, load programs, and configure all machine parameters.
· Perform advanced press brake programming, develop new programs, and refine existing ones for accuracy, speed, and repeatability.
· Adjust ram, back gauge, and offsets per engineering drawings and process control instructions.
· Apply expert-level understanding of bend theory, bend allowance, springback, tooling selection, and forming of thick steel used in chassis components.
Fabrication & Quality Assurance
· Produce parts to exact dimensional tolerances based on complex mechanical engineering drawings, blueprints, work orders, and CAD-generated models.
· Inspect finished components using calipers, gauges, protractors, and other precision instruments.
· Troubleshoot complex bends and adjust processes to maintain quality and consistency.
Maintenance & General Operations
· Perform daily and routine operator-level maintenance on press brake equipment.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area.
· Assist with general fabrication tasks including material handling, machine prep, and equipment upkeep.
· Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications
· Professional press brake experience (Accurpress preferred but a willingness to transition is acceptable).
· Expert knowledge of bend theory, tooling selection, forming strategies, and sheet/plate metal behavior.
· Proven ability to program CNC press brakes from scratch for new parts.
· Ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical engineering drawings, bend deduction charts, and GD&T.
· Strong math skills, including fractions, decimal conversions, bend calculations, and angle measurement.
