Job Description
Our bakery is an iconic Los Angeles brand known for timeless desserts, beautiful presentation, and unforgettable celebrations. We are seeking an experienced Marketing Director to lead and execute all brand, digital, and growth marketing initiatives across our retail locations, production operations, and expanding channels.
This is a full-time, senior-level role for a strategic yet hands-on marketer who understands food, retail, and hospitality—and knows how to translate brand love into measurable growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Own and execute the company’s overall marketing strategy, brand voice, and visual identity
• Lead digital marketing efforts including social media (Instagram, TikTok), email campaigns, SMS, and website content
• Drive store-level marketing initiatives to increase foot traffic, seasonal sales, and holiday performance
• Oversee campaign planning for major sales periods (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Holidays, etc.)
• Collaborate with leadership on product launches, packaging, promotions, and partnerships
• Manage and grow influencer, PR, and community partnerships
• Track performance using analytics and reporting (ROI, engagement, conversion, campaign success)
• Coordinate with operations, retail teams, and production to ensure marketing aligns with real-time capacity
• Manage marketing calendars, timelines, budgets, and external vendors or agencies
• Maintain consistency across all customer touchpoints—online, in-store, and packaging
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of professional marketing experience (required)
• Full-time availability (this is not a freelance or part-time role)
• Experience in bakery, food, beverage, hospitality, or retail marketing strongly preferred
• Experience in product photography
• Proven experience managing brand strategy and execution
• Strong knowledge of social media trends, content creation, and engagement strategies
• Experience with email marketing platforms, basic SEO, and website content management
• Comfortable balancing high-level strategy with hands-on execution
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, seasonal business with shifting priorities
• Must have own transportation to visit stores
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
• Experience with multi-location retail brands
• Influencer and PR campaign management
• Packaging and product launch experience
• Familiarity with Chat GPT, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Experience working closely with operations or production teams
