Caregiver/RCFE

An established RCFE is seeking several highly motivated caregivers for board and care home in Fullerton, CA. Candidates should be experienced in direct personal care with an emphasis on protecting residents’ dignity and person-centered care.

Responsibilities:

Provide assistance to elderly residents with all activities of daily living (ADL’s), as needed
Observe residents for changes of condition and report them to the facility supervisor.
Respond appropriately to emergency situations by calling 911 and notifying the facility supervisor
Keep documentation of resident activities, log daily tasks, and assist in maintenance of resident records
Provide resident care with respect for resident's personal rights
Provide medication reminders in accordance with physician orders
Assist in arranging transportation for appointments or community activities
Ability to adhere to residents’ daily schedule; including meal times and activities.
Perform cooking, laundry, and housekeeping duties; keeping resident living areas clean and tidy
Ability to interact with residents’ families visiting agencies, volunteers, and other staff in a professional and courteous manner.
Maintains an acceptable attendance record within their job responsibilities
Ability to complete job duties with minimal supervision
Prioritize, organize and use work time productively
Adhere to all facility policies and procedures
Qualifications:

Candidate is 18 years old or older
Pleasant and professional demeanor that supports the facility philosophy and supports excellent customer service.
Knowledge of basic food service and safe handling of food and cooking techniques
Knowledge of proper handling of biohazards and proper universal precautions
Proven experience working with elderly or disabled individuals; RCFE environment preferred
CNA or CHHA experience is a plus!
Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required
Valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance
Current CPR and First Aid Certification
Professional references to verify character and skillset
Current HCA Registration with Dept. of Social Services
Background check clearance (Live Scan)
Physical clearance (Statement of good health)
TB test or chest x-ray (within 6 months)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 36.0 per week
