Job Description
This role is central to our practice. You serve as the connection between the doctor’s recommendations, patient scheduling, and the patient’s understanding, confidence, and follow-through.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient Education & Value Creation
• Communicate the value of dental health, cosmetic dentistry, and treatment plans
• Educate patients on insurance from the practice perspective
• Explain office philosophy and approach to long-term dental health planning
Treatment Coordination & Financial Arrangements
• Review doctor-recommended treatment plans
• Discuss full vs phased treatment
• Discuss available payment options and establish appropriate financial arrangements
• Prepare treatment estimates and signed agreements
• Accurately enter treatment plans into the Eaglesoft computer system
Scheduling & Front Desk Coordination
• Schedule patients for the doctor and hygienists (Mostly hygienists pre-schedule their patients)
• Manage cancellations, reschedules, and same-day changes
• Assist in filling open appointments for doctor and hygiene schedules
• Proactively work unscheduled treatment into available time
Care Navigation & Follow-Up
• Meet with Dr. Malone to review treatment plans
• Coordinate specialist referrals and follow-ups
• Track new and unfinished treatment plans in order to encourage treatment completion
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Previous experience in dental treatment coordination or front-office financial discussions
• Strong people-person skills with a calm, professional communication style
• A true team player who collaborates well with doctors and clinical staff
• Self-motivated, organized, and reliable with follow-up
• Comfortable discussing treatment and finances in a patient-friendly, ethical manner
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
