Laundromat Attendant

Position Summary
The Laundromat Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and customer-friendly environment while ensuring machines operate properly and customers receive excellent service.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service, Greet customers and provide assistance as needed, Answer questions about machine operation, pricing, and services, Address customer concerns calmly and professionally, Enforce laundromat rules and policies respectfully, Facility Cleanliness, Clean washers, dryers, folding tables, floors, restrooms, and trash areas, Wipe down machines regularly throughout the shift, Restock supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.), Maintain an overall neat and welcoming environment

Machine Monitoring
Observe washers and dryers during operation, Report machine malfunctions immediately, Post “Out of Order” signs when necessary
Perform basic troubleshooting as trained (reset machines, check doors, etc.), Operate POS, Record cash collections accurately
Follow all cash-handling and theft-prevention procedures, Wash-Dry-Fold, Weigh, sort, wash, dry, and fold customer laundry
Label and store completed orders properly, Maintain cleanliness and separation of customer orders
Safety & Security, Monitor the laundromat for safety issues or suspicious activity
Prevent loitering or misuse of equipment, Report incidents, accidents, or theft immediately
Lock/unlock facility as assigned

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Customer service or retail experience a plus
Basic math skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Physical Requirements
Stand and walk for extended periods
Lift and carry laundry bags (up to 40–50 lbs)
Bend, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks

Schedule
Must be available for assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
