HIRING - Assistant General Manager

Prime waterfront restaurant & bar in Weehawken is looking for a hands-on Assistant General Manager to join our team.

This role is hands-on and operational, supporting the General Manager, leading staff, handling service issues, and making sure standards are met every shift. If you know how to lead, stay organized, and keep things moving under pressure, this could be a strong fit.

Responsibilities include:

- Supporting daily front-of-house operations and service execution
- Leading shifts and supervising servers, bartenders, and hosts
- Maintaining service standards, cleanliness, and guests experience
- Assisting with scheduling, training, and staff development
- Handling guest concerns professionally and efficiently
- Overseeing opening and closing procedures
- Enforcing company policies, SOPs, and ABC compliance

Requirements:

- Previous restaurant and bar management experience required
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Flexible availability (nights, weekends, holidays, events required)
- Hands-on, lead-by-example mentality
- POS, OpenTable, and 7shifts experience a plus
