Personal Care Assistant & Driver Needed

SHIFTS: Monday-Friday: 8am-3pm and 6pm-9pm. Sunday-Saturday: AM/PM flexible. Time and duration may change, but with notice.
Wage: $15 per hour. Pay is bi-weekly and negotiable. I will also provide small bonuses at least twice annually. You will be provided with a Pay Schedule as well as a Shift Schedule upon hire.

Personal Care Assistants are needed for a professional with Muscular Dystrophy in Sherman, TX. I need one or two assistants to help me with activities of daily living. I am an active wheelchair user who works from home most of the day. When I go out, I need an assistant to drive me and provide care as needed. (I have my own accessible vehicle, but I need someone to drive.)
I love trying out new recipes, listening to all kinds of music, watching movies, crafting, snuggling my dogs, and doing things outside. I am looking for someone with a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and a good sense of humor. I am a positive and patient person. I do not expect perfection and will work with someone who is really trying.

DUTIES INCLUDE ASSISTANCE WITH:

• Toileting
• Dressing
• Grooming
• Transfers
• Laundry
• Housekeeping/Organizing
• Preparing meals
• Taking Medication
• Range of Motion/Exercise
• Skincare
• Pet care
• Running errands/Escort


*There is no direct lifting.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be over 18 years old
Must be able to pass a national background check
Must be able to work in the U.S. legally
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Must have reliable transportation

PREFERRED:
Experience in this field
Experience using a Hoyer Lift
Non-smokers
CPR and First Aid

♦ No heavy lifting, but the position requires bending, squatting, and pulling.
