Pipe Cutting & Grooving Technician

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is hiring a Pipe Cutting & Grooving Technician for a pipe fabrication yard that prepares steel piping used in fire sprinkler systems. This role involves operating cutting and grooving equipment and assisting with pipe preparation in an outdoor industrial yard environment.

*Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM *Friday & Saturday | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM (overtime as needed)
*Rate of Pay: Pay: $18–$19/hour
*Position Type: Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Responsibilities
• Cut steel pipe according to work order specifications
• Operate pipe cutting and grooving equipment
• Assist with preparation of piping used in fire protection systems
• Move materials and assist with pipe handling in the yard
• Maintain safe operation of equipment
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines

Requirements
• Experience working with hand tools or fabrication equipment preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and pass a tape measure test
• 6+ months warehouse, construction, or manufacturing experience
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to lift and move materials during the shift
• Comfortable working in an outdoor work environment
