Pipe Layout Technician

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Pipe Layout Technician for a pipe fabrication facility in North Phoenix that supports the fire protection industry. This company prepares steel piping used in commercial and residential sprinkler systems.
This position works primarily in an outdoor pipe yard environment, assisting with measuring and preparing steel pipe for fabrication.

*Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM*Friday & Saturday | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM (overtime as needed)
*Pay: $18–$19/hour
*Position Type: Temp-to-Hire (720-hour conversion)

Responsibilities
• Measure and mark steel pipe according to specifications and work orders
• Perform pipe layout preparation for fabrication and production processes
• Accurately read and interpret tape measurements
• Assist with pipe preparation and material handling in the pipe yard
• Move materials and assist production team as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures while working around equipment and materials

Requirements
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and pass a tape measure test
• 6+ months warehouse, construction, fabrication, or general labor experience preferred
• Comfortable working in an outdoor industrial environment
• Ability to lift and move materials throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
