Job Brief
We are looking for an EXPERIENCED Bench Jeweler, skilled in jewelry making, jewelry repair, selling and restoring jewelry. This person should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills, and make good, sound decisions with strong problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
Jewelry repairs:
• Fixing broken clasps
• Replacing worn or damaged prongs
• Resizing rings
• Repairing broken chains
• Remounting stones
• Fixing bent or damaged jewelry
Stone setting:
• Setting new gemstones
• Replacing loose stones
• Matching stone cuts and sizes
Finishing and polishing:
• Buffing and polishing finished pieces
• Cleaning and inspecting jewelry
Metalwork:
• Soldering
• Welding
Customer service:
• Consulting with clients on repair options
• Providing estimates for repairs
• Communicating repair progress with clients
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of bench experience in a high-end jewelry manufacturing shop or store.
• Knowledge of complex and intricate jewelry construction and precious metal properties.
• Ability to construct handmade elements, mechanical components, clasps, connections
• Ability to communicate issues clearly in a team environment.
• Knowledge of colored stone properties, setting techniques, and styles.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must be highly motivated.

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time available
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour depending on experience + bonus opportunities
