Job Title: Water Irrigation Technician
Location: Tucson, AZ
Pay Rate: $17.00–$19.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: 30–40 hours per week

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Water Irrigation Technicians to support the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of irrigation water systems serving agricultural and landowner needs. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate distribution of irrigation water while maintaining infrastructure integrity and strong communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

* Regulate and distribute irrigation water according to established schedules and agreements.
* Operate, adjust, and monitor headgates, weirs, and other water control structures.
* Inspect canals, ditches, and related infrastructure for leaks, blockages, erosion, or damage.
* Perform routine checks and report maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly.
* Communicate regularly with landowners and farmers regarding water delivery schedules, changes, and issues.
* Maintain accurate and timely records of water deliveries, maintenance activities, inspections, and incidents.
* Ensure compliance with safety procedures and operational guidelines at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

* Must live within 20 minutes of downtown Marana, AZ
* Clean driving record for the past three (3) years is required.
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow schedules and procedures.
* Good communication skills and professionalism when working with landowners and farmers.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Prior experience in irrigation, water systems, agriculture, or maintenance is preferred but not required.

Physical & Work Environment

Outdoor work with exposure to heat, sun, and uneven terrain.
May require walking along canals, lifting equipment, and operating control mechanisms.
