Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Program Director to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential treatment program. The Program Director will work collaboratively with the CEO and leadership team to ensure a consistent, high-quality treatment milieu, providing clinical oversight, administrative leadership, and team development. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a dynamic leader with experience in substance use disorder treatment, regulatory compliance, and team supervision.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision

-Lead and support Detox Technicians and facility staff.
-Provide training, guidance, and oversight to ensure quality care and adherence to policy.
-Participate in detox rounds (30-minute face-to-face) and support scheduling functions.
-Maintain a positive, team-oriented environment that reflects Journey 4 Success’ mission and values.
-Actively participate in strategic planning, performance improvement, and process development.

Clinical & Program Management

-Oversee day-to-day operations and maintain program structure and integrity.
-Supervise staff schedules, participate in treatment team meetings, and support extensions and discharges.
-Ensure program compliance with DHCS, IMS, Joint Commission, and other regulatory standards.
-Facilitate community meetings and participate in Family Weekend events.

Collaboration & Communication

-Serve as a liaison between staff, clients, family members, and external stakeholders.
-Engage in conflict resolution, problem-solving, and effective decision-making processes.
-Represent Journey 4 Success in public speaking engagements or outreach efforts when needed.

Technology & Documentation

-Maintain EMR compliance and ensure accurate KIPU client records.
-Utilize computer technology and documentation standards aligned with healthcare administration.

Qualifications

-Proven leadership experience in a behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment setting.
-In-depth knowledge of healthcare administration, regulatory standards (DHCS, IMS, Joint Commission).
-Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
-Ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate responsibilities effectively.
-Experience with electronic medical records (preferably KIPU).
-Capable of setting healthy boundaries while maintaining a supportive approach.

Preferred Attributes

-A clinical background or experience in direct client care strongly preferred.
-Familiarity with crisis intervention and relapse prevention strategies.

-8 hour shift
