Location: Moss Landing, CA
Position: Senior Line Cook
Schedule: Full-time or Part-time
Hours of Operation: Open 6 days/week, approximately 11:30am–6:00pm
Pay: Competitive, based on experience + benefits
About the Role
We are a family-owned, waterfront restaurant in Moss Landing seeking an experienced Line Cook with a strong seafood background. This is a hands-on position for a professional who can step onto a station and execute with consistency, speed, and precision from day one.
We are building a long-term team and are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, performs well under pressure, and wants to grow with a stable, expanding operation.
Responsibilities
-Prepare and cook seafood and menu items to recipe, timing, and quality standards
-Run a station independently, including fryer and hot line
-Execute service accurately during high-volume shifts
-Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures
-Set up, stock, and break down station before and after service
-Monitor product quality, freshness, and storage
-Assist with prep, inventory awareness, and ordering as needed
-Communicate clearly with chefs and BOH team
-Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation
Requirements
-Minimum 5 years of professional line cook experience or above
-Seafood cooking experience required
-Proven ability to handle fast-paced service
-Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling
-Reliable, punctual, and accountable
-Strong knife skills and solid cooking fundamentals
-Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
-Team-oriented, detail-focused, and professional
Bonus Qualifications
-Experience with wood-fired cooking or pizza ovens
-Culinary school or formal culinary training/courses
-Scratch kitchen or seafood-focused restaurant experience
-Experience with inventory, prep planning, or ordering
