Experienced Line Cook / Kitchen Cook

Location: Laili Restaurant – Downtown Santa Cruz
Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Laili Restaurant is an award-winning Middle Eastern–Mediterranean inspired fine-dining restaurant located in the heart of Santa Cruz. We are known for our house-made dishes, beautiful garden patio, and warm, professional service. We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Line Cook / Kitchen Cook to join our team.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook menu items according to Laili’s standards and recipes
• Assist with daily prep, station setup, and breakdown
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely service
• Communicate effectively with chefs, FOH staff, and management in both English and Spanish

Requirements:
• Prior kitchen / line cook experience in a professional restaurant
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and pride in food quality
• Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
• Valid ServSafe Food Handler Certification (required)
