Line Cook – Food Cart at Commonwealth Pub (Bend, OR)
Location: Bend, Oregon
Position Type: Part-Time / Hourly
Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience + tips
About Us
We’re a local, community-driven pub on the West side of Bend with a focus on providing a community gathering place to enjoy sports and local live music. Starting soon, we will be operating our own food cart at the pub with fun and straight forward pub food options. We’re looking for a Line Cook to head up our late night food service on Friday & Saturday nights.
The Commonwealth Pub in Bend is hiring a Part-Time Line Cook to join our kitchen team. We’re looking for a dependable, team-oriented cook who can thrive in a fast-paced pub environment and take pride in consistently good food.
- Current Shift Openings -
Friday Late Night: 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Saturday Midday: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Saturday Late Night: 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Also possible on Saturday for a 2pm to 12am shift if someone would like.
Additional opportunities:
Possible Saturday & Sunday Brunch/Lunch shifts
Over the next couple of months, there will be opportunities to pick up additional shifts as out-of-town staff rotate out
- Compensation & Tips -
Hourly wage - $19 to $21
Kitchen receives 9% of all food sales in tips from the bar team
100% of tips from food purchases made at the food cart go directly to the kitchen
- Responsibilities -
Prepare and execute menu items accurately and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the line and prep areas
Follow food safety and sanitation standards
Communicate effectively with front-of-house and kitchen team members
Assist with prep, restocking, and closing duties as needed
- Qualifications -
Line cook or kitchen experience preferred (but not required for the right candidate)
Ability to work nights, weekends, and late shifts
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Ability to work on your feet in a fast-paced environment
