Job Description
We are a small woodworking shop located in North West Portland that manufactures a wide variety of small to medium batch furniture and home goods. Our work ranges from vinyl furniture and storage, cannabis accessories, and recording studio equipment to other custom wood products. Every piece is made in house with a strong focus on quality, consistency, and design.
We are a close knit team and are excited to expand by bringing on the right person to help support our production flow.
About the role: This position will focus primarily on sanding and staining pieces as they move through the final stages of the assembly process. Attention to detail is extremely important, as these steps directly affect the finished look and overall quality of our products.
What we are looking for:
-Detail oriented and patient with hands on work
-Comfortable working independently while still being part of a small, supportive team
-Enjoys the community and atmosphere of a small woodworking business
-Prefers being a solo contributor rather than working within a large team
-Reliable and consistent communication regarding schedule and availability
-Woodworking experience is encouraged, but not required if you are eager to learn
-Reliable transportation is required
Hours:
-16 to 24 hours per week
-Schedule can be somewhat flexible depending on fit and workload
Hiring process:
-Initial introduction and interview
-One paid test day to assess fit, workflow, and attention to detail
-One month trial period
-Full hire for the right candidate
If you enjoy working with your hands, care deeply about craftsmanship, and want to be part of a growing small shop that makes unique products, we would love to hear from you.
Please reply with a brief introduction about yourself, any relevant experience, and your availability.
