Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Insurance Verification: Confirm patient eligibility, benefits, and coverage for services.
• Prior Authorizations: Request and track pre-certifications and authorizations from insurance companies for procedures and medications.
• Scheduling: Scheduling patient procedures at outside facilities
• Patient Communication: Explain financial responsibility, copays, and potential assistance programs; update patients on coverage.
• Data Management: Accurately enter and update patient demographics, insurance details, and authorization statuses in the EMR/computer system.
• Liaison: Serve as a point of contact between patients, clinical staff, billing departments, and insurance providers.
• Documentation: Maintain organized records, scan documents, and follow compliance (HIPAA).
Essential Skills
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with EMR/computer systems.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and insurance guidelines.
• Ability to manage workloads, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Excellent customer service skills
• Highly organized
