Job Description

Wanted: Landscape Laborer with experience. Tools and materials will be supplied by the property owner - me. Work will be 8 hours per day for several weeks on one acre in Rio Verde Foothills. Pay will be per hour with payment made in cash at the end of each work day. Good pay for the right person based upon your experience and willingness to work hard.

Must speak fluent English, be dependable, have reliable transportation, be able to work independently, in good physical condition, not afraid of hard work, and used to walking fast. Should know how to use a wheelbarrow to move sand and rocks, how to stretch a string line for rock landscape borders, and how to level out quarter-minus and sand. Use a pick and shovel and arrange river rocks to make attractive drainage ways. Work also involves using a string-trimmer (weed-eater) to cut tall weeds, mixing weed killers according to product labels, and applying weed killer with a backpack sprayer. Experience using a gas auger, post-hole digger, and string-line to construct split-rail fences would open up the possibility of additional work.

You will be working on my personal residence. I am a civil engineer and building contractor whom, over many decades in the construction business, employed a lot of construction workers. I know how to set reasonable expectations for my employees and how to direct work so that it is done efficiently and looks professional. When the work is completed, I will provide strong references for your future employment and, if you would like, I will refer you to people that need similar work done.

Please send an email using the Craigslist Mail Relay with the following information:

1. Your full name and phone number (where I can text and call you);
2. A brief description of your landscaping experience and why you want this job;
3. Three references, with contact information, of people for whom you have worked recently;
4. The hourly pay you expect to get.
