About the Role 

Neuranimus is seeking a skilled and collaborative Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our innovative outpatient neurology clinic in San Jose, CA. We are a small, rapidly growing practice serving a rising number of patients each month, and we combine excellent neurological care with thoughtfully applied technology to improve the patient and provider experience. This position is for 30% inpatient and 70% outpatient patient care.

This role is perfect for an APP who thrives in a flexible, team-based environment, values autonomy, and is excited by the opportunity to help shape a growing clinic from the ground up. 

You’ll work directly with one of our lead neurologists, manage your own patient load, and contribute to a supportive clinical pod delivering expert care to the community. 


What We Offer 

Per-Diem Model 
- $900/day 
- Flexible scheduling — start with 1–4 days/week 
- Opportunity to explore the role before committing to a full-time position 

Path to Full-Time 
- Salaried role starting at ~$180,000/year 
- Performance bonus up to $30,000/year 
- Up to $210,000/year before additional benefits

Responsibilities 
- Conduct new patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and patient education 
- Make rounds inpatient at the hospital 

- Manage a variety of neurological conditions under physician supervision 
- Perform in-office procedures as appropriate to training and licensure (e.g., Botox injections)
- Collaborate within a small clinical “pod” alongside your supervising physician and other APPs 
- Document clinical encounters efficiently and accurately using a modern EMR 
- Help refine workflows and contribute to ongoing clinic improvement 

Qualifications 
- Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with active California licensure 
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting; neurology experience preferred 
- Comfortable with independent patient management within a team model 
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills 
- Excited to work in a fast-moving, tech-forward clinic environment 
- Must be able to work on-site in San Jose (local candidates strongly preferred)
