The Akeena Group is a women-owned, Ventura-based design-build firm specializing in thoughtfully designed residential projects and Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). We are looking to bring on an experienced Site Supervisor to support several upcoming projects throughout Ventura County.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, communicative, and confident running residential job sites while collaborating closely with an internal architecture and construction management team.

Position Overview
The Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations on residential ADU projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with approved plans and local codes. This role serves as the on-site point of contact for trades, inspectors, and internal team members.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise daily on-site construction activities for residential ADU projects
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, deliveries, and inspections
• Ensure work is built per approved plans, specifications, and local codes
• Maintain job site safety, cleanliness, and organization
• Review scopes of work and verify quality of completed work
• Communicate regularly with the Construction Project Manager
• Track progress, flag issues early, and help keep projects on schedule
• Follow SOPs and guidelines
• Assist with inspection preparation and punch-list completion
• Represent The Akeena Group professionally with clients, neighbors, and inspectors

Required Experience & Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience as a Site Supervisor / Superintendent in residential construction
• Strong familiarity with California Residential Code and general building practices
• Prior experience working in Ventura County (or nearby jurisdictions) strongly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and details

• Hands-on experience with ADU projects is a major plus
• Strong organizational and excellent communication skills
• Comfortable working independently while coordinating with a larger team
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between local job sites

• Experience working with design-build firms
• Familiarity with local inspection processes and city departments
• Experience with hillside sites, tight residential neighborhoods, or occupied properties
