Maintenance Technician

Monday thru Friday – 8am to 5pm
$18 to $22hr depending on experience.

Busy property management company with more than 2700 units in 38 building across central Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County, is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team in Woodland Hills.

Summary: In this position you will be responsible for basic interior and exterior repairs throughout the property and reporting any adverse action to the Lead Maintenance Technician or Director of Maintenance.

Responsibilities:
• Perform basic repairs on the property with regards to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, moving appliances, etc.
• Report any extensive repair work needed to the Lead Maintenance Technician or Director of Maintenance that is beyond your skill set.
• Carry out basic interior and/ or exterior repairs based on lead Maintenance Technician's expectations and work orders assigned.
• Report any issues or concerns with regards to needed repairs, code violations, property rule violations, safety issues, and property damage to lead Maintenance Technician or Director of Maintenance.
• Complete work orders, including updating hours and materials through property management software app on company-issued cell phone.
• Perform exterior work on building as directed by Lead Maintenance Technician, Property Manager, or Regional Manager.
• Order and pick up materials from the Maintenance Shop as needed.
• Train other Maintenance Technicians while following the Director of Maintenance's guidelines.

Qualifications:
• 1+ year experience performing repair work in a construction company or property management environment.
• Ability to read and write in English. Spanish speaking a plus.
• Knowledge of work materials and the ability to suggest appropriate measures.
• Comfortable working in a multi-taking and fast-paced environment.
• Exhibits conscientiousness of safety in the workplace.
