Job Description
The Olde Alehouse is looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations and keep our kitchen running smooth, clean, and efficient. This role is hands-on — you’ll lead by example on the line while managing people, systems, and standards.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and supervise the kitchen team during service and prep
Cook and prepare menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
Enforce recipes, portion control, and food presentation standards
Manage daily prep lists, line setup, and closing procedures
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards at all times
Ensure compliance with health department regulations
Assist with ordering, inventory, and minimizing food waste
Train, coach, and support kitchen staff
Communicate clearly with ownership and front-of-house
What We’re Looking For:
Fluent in English
3+ years kitchen experience, including leadership or management responsibilities
Strong line skills and solid understanding of kitchen operations
Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment
Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
Strong communication skills and a positive, team-first attitude
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
