Junior Business Development Associate – Tech Events and Outreach

Description:
We are a California based software and product engineering company hiring a full time junior business development associate.
This role focuses on attending technology networking events, starting conversations, following up with contacts, and setting up introductory meetings for our senior team.
This is an entry level role with clear activity goals. It is not a closing sales position.
What you will do:
Attend approved technology meetups, networking events, and industry dinners
Represent the company professionally at events as an attendee
Start conversations and understand what people and their companies do
Share a short, prepared introduction about our company when appropriate
Capture contact details and notes from conversations
Follow up by email or LinkedIn with people you meet
Schedule follow up calls or meetings with our leadership team
Maintain a simple tracker of outreach, follow ups, and meetings set
Share weekly activity and outcome summaries
Targets and expectations:
Consistent attendance at relevant events
Timely follow up with all qualified contacts
Monthly targets for number of follow up conversations
Monthly targets for meetings scheduled with qualified prospects
Targets are activity and meeting based, not revenue based.
What this role is NOT:
Not commission only
Not cold calling strangers
Not a quota driven closing sales role
Not a marketing or social media role
Who should apply:
