Job Description
Grand Lake Kitchen’s Dimond location is the sister restaurant to GLK Lake Merritt. We are entering our 7th year in the neighborhood, known for great service and a strong private dining program. We’re looking for a confident, service-driven Front of House Manager who loves the floor, thrives during a rush, and knows how to lead a team with warmth and clarity. This is a hands-on role for someone who believes great hospitality starts with presence, organization, and good energy. It takes no talent to point out what’s wrong, we’re looking at problem solving experts to help us level up! We’re always continuing to grow and improve.
YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:
Have floor management or shift lead experience
Have at least 2 years serving and/or bartending in a busy restaurant
Stay calm, positive, and solution-oriented under pressure
Communicate clearly and lead by example
Love guest experience and team culture
Are organized and comfortable using email, Google Drive, and calendars
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Lead FOH service and set the tone every shift
Support and coordinate private dining and events
Train, mentor, and motivate the FOH team
Work closely with a strong management and ownership team
Help with ordering and inventory
Schedule is flexible and can be customized. Shift lengths can be 6-10 hours, 3-5 days a week. We will work with the right person!

Private dining or events experience
Hosting or Maitre’D background
Wine knowledge or sommelier certification
Dreams of running your own place someday
