**Job Summary**
The Café Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the café, ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and efficiency. This role combines leadership, organization, and hospitality to create a welcoming environment for customers and a positive workplace for employees.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Manage day-to-day café operations, including opening and closing procedures
* Hire, train, schedule, and supervise café staff
* Ensure excellent customer service and handle customer feedback or concerns
* Monitor inventory, place orders, and manage supplier relationships
* Maintain cleanliness, safety, and food hygiene standards
* Oversee cash handling, sales reporting, and basic budgeting
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies
* Create a positive, motivating team culture
* Implement promotions or initiatives to increase sales and customer loyalty
**Qualifications & Skills**
* Previous experience in food service or hospitality, preferably in a supervisory role
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
* Basic financial and inventory management skills
* Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
**Working Conditions**
* Standing for extended periods
* Fast-paced café environment
* Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required
