Job Description
Hello! We’re hiring a nighttime Host with closing manager responsibilities to be the face and steady hand of our restaurant during evening service.
This role is ideal for someone who is upbeat, organized, calm under pressure, and knows how to keep both guests and staff moving smoothly through the night.
What You’ll Do:
- Greet and manage guests with warmth, confidence, and professionalism
- Run the host stand and manage guest flow during busy service
- Manage reservations and waitlists
- Handle closing duties (cash out, light admin, staff wrap-up, locking up)
- Use Toast confidently for orders, payments, and reports
- Diffuse guest issues calmly and kindly — with a smile
- Support the FOH team and maintain a positive, composed vibe until close
What We’re Looking For:
- Proficient in Toast and Square (required)
- Experience with reservation platforms (Tock, OpenTable, etc.) is a plus
- Strong customer service instincts and people skills
- Even-keeled, friendly personality — no drama, no ego
- Able to think clearly under pressure and de-escalate situations
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Schedule & Pay:
- Approximately 30 hours per week
- 3–4 closing shifts per week
- Evening / nighttime shifts
- Last seating between 8:45–9:30pm
- $25 per hour + tips
- Free meal every shift
