Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrician to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems across various commercial and industrial sites. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from blueprint reading to troubleshooting complex electrical issues, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our facilities.

Duties
• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in commercial and industrial settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical tasks on construction sites.
• Test electrical systems using instruments such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and voltmeters to ensure proper operation.
• Work with low voltage and high voltage systems while adhering strictly to safety protocols and NEC standards.
• Collaborate with construction teams, including frame carpenters and other trades, to coordinate installation schedules.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or failures before they occur.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, including the NEC, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Hands-on experience with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, along with power tools like drills and saws.
• Ability to operate testing equipment including ohmmeters, ammeters, and schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
• Construction site experience with a focus on safety practices and efficient project completion.
• Familiarity with frame carpentry is a plus for certain installation tasks.
