Pool Technician

Job Description

Employment Type: Part Time (20-30 hours/week)
Hours: Monday-Friday (Schedule varies. Shifts typically begin between 6-6:30AM).

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pool Technician, where you'll be the essential expert ensuring sparkling clean pools and smooth-running equipment. This energetic role involves routine pool cleaning, chemical balancing, filter maintenance, and minor equipment repairs. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, communicates professionally with customers, and follows safety and company standards to deliver exceptional service and safety for our clients. Your hands-on skills and proactive approach will keep pools in pristine condition, making a splash in the community with your technical expertise and dedication.

Responsibilities

*Conduct regular pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing walls, emptying baskets, and maintaining water clarity.
*Perform routine pool maintenance tasks such as checking chemical levels, balancing water chemistry, and inspecting filtration systems.
*Add chemicals safely and in accordance with industry and company guidelines.
*Clean and backwash filters (cartridge, DE, and sand filters).
*Utilize hand tools and power tools to repair or replace pool equipment.
*Perform minor repairs such as replacing seals, o-rings, gauges, valves, and basic plumbing repairs.
*Troubleshoot mechanical issues with pool systems and diagnose problems accurately.
*Maintain detailed records of service visits, maintenance activities, and repairs performed for each client.
*Communicate professionally with customers regarding pool condition and recommendations.
*Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean working condition.
*Follow all safety procedures and local regulations.

Qualifications

*Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar pool maintenance role.
*Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to repair and troubleshoot pool equipment effectively.
*Familiarity with pool cleaning techniques, chemical balancing, and filtration systems.
*Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
*Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude toward maintenance challenges.
*Ability to work independently while managing multiple service appointments daily.
*Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
*Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
*Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
*Access to a smart phone to utilize company software in the field.

*Driving between service locations daily.
*Background check required.
